Personality Bio
As the thick  smoke swirls and hovers through the sky, while Marvin Gay sings his sweet lullabies "lets get it on" over the speakers of a beat down juke box sitting in the corner of a small club called Dots, that stood on 44th and 17th Ave., in a part of Columbus that we call Beallwood. There Mall Doon stood at the tender age of 4 getting introduced to his first taste of music and also to a side of life where he had to rely on his wits and passion to get out. Mall grew up in a single parent household. His father got caught up in the streets leaving Mall, his mother, and his sister to fend for themselves. Mall said, “I can say pops taught me one thing, to be self-reliant, don’t depend on nobody, people can sell u wolf tickets all day but its up to you to make things happen.” Mall stayed all over in Columbus from Benning Hills to Azalea Gardens to being completely homeless in a shelter called The House of Mercy. As a child we learned to endure some of the most adverse conditions and we had no choice that was just a part of life. His mother was a strong black woman and she held it down on her own, but with no father figure present (other than a couple of uncle's that stayed in and out of prison), Mall turned to the streets.  Mall had an older cousin that was rappin’ in Atlanta. I was about 12 at the time and we moved up to Atlanta and were staying off Old Natl. My cousin Willie was rappin’ at the time and I used to go to his shows and that lifestyle seemed so captivating to me it was liked a beam of sunlight in my world of darkness. From that point on Mall started to pursue that sunlight over the years, developing a style and a swagger that’s next to none. I consider my music far from just a bunch of slick word play on a beat. It’s much more than that. It’s my testimony. I paint a vivid picture of my life or situations that I have been in or going through. I take the listener on a journey through my eyes. Therefore I consider my self as the new extraordinary leader coming out of the south.(It's not that I'm being boastful. I view my work as an art form and approach it with the same intensity and ego as any ambitious artist would.)Got on board with 983 the beat and Magic 101.3the beat and the rest is history. Check me out every Sunday 2pm to 6pm on the 983 Beat.   So, on that note…stay tuned for the Mall Doon Movement coming out the GA!! This dude is going boldly were no man has gone before just watch for em’. .
